NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GTX Specs
NVIDIA released the GeForce 7800 GTX, a high-end graphics card, on June 22, 2005. The GF-7800-GTX-A2 model of the card, which is based on the G70 graphics processor and built on the 110 nm technology, supports DirectX 9.0c. The GeForce 7800 GTX may not be able to run all of the newest games because it does not support DirectX 11 or DirectX 12. The G70 graphics processor is a big chip with 302 million transistors and a die area of 333 mm². It has 16 ROPs, 24 texture mapping units, 8 vertex shaders, and 24 pixel shaders.
The maximum power draw of this single-slot card is 86 W. Display outputs include one S-Video and two DVI. A PCI-Express 1.0 x16 interface connects the GeForce 7800 GTX to the rest of the system. In addition to having a single cooling slot, the card is 228 mm long. When it was first released, it cost $599 USD.
You will be unable to run any contemporary games that require unified shaders or DX10+ compatibility because of the lack of unified shaders. The GeForce 7800 GTX and 256 MB of GDDR3 memory are coupled by NVIDIA and are connected via a 256-bit memory interface. Memory is running at 600 MHz, but the GPU is running at 430 MHz.
